Early Career and Cosplay Origins
Turney's introduction to cosplay came in 2002 through an invitation to Ushicon 1, where she first attempted a Sailor Moon character costume. Over the following years, she developed enough recognition in the cosplay community to transition it into professional work. Her Faye Valentine, Princess Leia, and Psycho cosplays received particular attention from online publications. This visibility led to an appearance on the Syfy series Heroes of Cosplay and a commercial for Guild Wars 2. She hosted a cosplay contest at SXSW in 2013 and appeared as a special guest at Fan Expo Vancouver in 2016.
Online Media Hosting
Turney's early hosting credits include event coverage for deviantART and a featured role on CraveOnline's TechKnow. In July 2012, she joined SourceFed, where she worked as both a co-host and website writer. In February 2013, she and her SourceFed co-hosts won an Audience Choice Streamy Award for Series of the Year. She departed SourceFed in April 2014. Shortly after, on May 30, 2014, Turney was announced as a host for Rooster Teeth's news channel, The Know. During her time at Rooster Teeth, she co-hosted The Know It All: Leaderboard, appeared on The Patch gaming podcast, and voiced Neon Katt in the animated series RWBY. She left Rooster Teeth on June 27, 2016. Her partner Gavin Free also worked at Rooster Teeth, and the two have been together since 2013. In April 2019, Turney signed with talent agency Abrams Artists, joining its gaming roster.
Modeling and Adult Content
Turney's modeling work has included a non-nude Playboy photoshoot in June 2015. She was placed on Playboy's "25 Hottest YouTube Stars" list in January 2015 and FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World" list in April of that year. She later launched content on OnlyFans, where she shares cosplay-oriented photoshoots and has released a limited-edition personalized photo book.
